Persistence Pays Off: Violent Offender Arrested and Remanded

I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

We are proud to share the some of the work Totteridge & Woodside SNT have been involved in. Following a shocking and unprovoked attack at the Mill Hill East Co-op store on 10 October, officers launched an intensive investigation to identify and locate the suspect responsible for multiple violent offences.

Through innovative use of new technological resources and collaborative efforts across the team, the suspect was positively identified and linked to further serious assaults. Despite attempts to evade capture, PC Ollie Burnell acted swiftly on intelligence and arrested the individual, who has now been charged and remanded for multiple offences, including common assault, ABH, non-fatal strangulation, and public order.

This result demonstrates our unwavering commitment to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and protecting the public. We thought it would be a nice idea to share this work with the community.
